An East London cat and dog art exhibition is helping raise funds for Hackney Foodbank, as food donations struggle to meet demand.
North East Londoner spoke with Stoke Newington print shop Atom Gallery to find out more about their pet art show “boll*cks and Pajamas”.
Demand at Hackney Foodbank has risen by 70%, with more people relying on it than ever before.
We asked co-owner of Atom Gallery, Mark Perronet, why he and business partner Richard decided to throw together the art show and why fundraisers like theirs are so vital at this time.
Atom Gallery previously ran an art exhibition in 2019, asking artists to paint, print or draw on pizza boxes, raising more than £3000 for Hackney Foodbank.
They’re hoping to do the same this time round.
