London Lions beat Wolves in the Basketball EuroCup to add to their 7-2 record.
The Lions victory against Lithuania’s Vilnius Wolves, 101-87 on Tuesday night at the Avia Solutions Group Arena, made the team undefeated on the road for their fifth consecutive game.
Top scorer for the Lions Conor Morgan racked up 22 points 3 assists and 6 rebounds.
Former NBA player Sam Dekker returned from the bench for the Lions after sustaining an injury early in the season.
The Forward returned to action with 9 points 1 assist and 3 rebounds.
London Lions inch behind their Group A leader, Paris who leads the group 8-1.
The British Basketball League (BBL) team are the only BBL team to make it to the EuroCup since Guildford Heat in 2007.
The EuroCup consists of 20 clubs from 14 nations, including two each from France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Spain and Turkey.
The Lions become the fourth BBL team to ever compete in Europe this season.
They currently compete in their second season of the EuroCup after a 1-5 record in the 2021-22 season.
Last season the team became the first British team to qualify for the EuroCup playoffs.
They stay in the league thanks to a wildcard given to them and Paris by Euroleague basketball for the 2023-24 season.
New addition to the roster for the season Conor Morgan signed for the Lions ahead of the international season.
The Lions are set to take on Italy’s Serie A team Reyer Venezia on December 5th in the EuroCup.
