WATCH: Veganism’s future up for discussion at Veganuary Fest

Veganuary Fest in Walthamstow was set up by Feed the Village as part of the global Veganuary campaign, which encourages people to try a plant-based diet for the month of January.

The East London festival aims to encourage vegans and vegan-curious people to come and try a range of plant-based food, enjoy a live DJ set, and vegan beer by Signature Brew.

From artisan cheeses to vegan fried chicken, Veganuary Fest has a wealth to savour.

I spoke to David Hale, founder of Feed the Village, about the event’s rapid growth and the benefits of Veganuary for those interested in a plant-based diet.

However, not everyone at the festival was enthusiastic about veganism’s future, including Robbie Rees, founder of Chicken-ish, a vegan fried chicken company.
