London artist, Ben Wakeling’s first solo show, “Abstract Figurativism: Loving Fiercely” is taking place until March 3rd at BSMT Space in the heart of Dalston.
Known for his abstract figurative art both on the streets and on canvas, Wakeling delves into the complexities of mental health and his inner struggles through his artwork.
As an Artist in Residence with the North London Trust NHS Arts Programme, which he helped create, Wakeling helps patients grappling with episodes of mania or psychosis express themselves through art.
The free exhibition features a compelling collection of large paintings and previously unseen drawings, offering a thought-provoking exploration of the human psyche.
